METTEM-Technologies, CJSC is the company producing BARRIER advanced water treatment filters. METTEM-Technologies, CJSC began household filter production in 1993. Since 1995, METTEM-Technologies, CJSC has had large scale production in place for pitcher filters using production facilities at S.P. Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation Energia (Korolev city, the Moscow region). Continuous increase in production volume, supported by wide recognition among Russian consumers has contributed to the launch of BARRIER filters into European markets in 2000 (France, Latvia, Lithuania, Serbia), the CIS countries (Ukraine, Byelorussia, Moldova) and Asia (Mongolia). In 2004, BARRIER controlled over 40% of the water filter market in Russia. Two unique automated lines for replaceable filter cartridge production were launched in the same year. Currently, the production line is completely automated with an in-house scientific research laboratory. The design engineering department of the company cooperates with the leading European design bureaus. They provide for an updated model line-up of the pitcher filters every 2-3 years. High quality and technology driven product lines, compliant with the most stringent standards and extensive consumer demands, are competitive advantages for BARRIER.
